Appeal to locate teenage boy missing from Armidale

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teen missing from the New England area.

15-year-old Tye Faulkner-Turner was dropped off at school on Butler Street, Armidale about 8.45am yesterday (Friday 28 April 2023).

When he failed to return home or make contact with family members, officers from New England Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare, who describe his disappearance as being out of character.

Tye is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm in height, slim build, with slightly curly bleach blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a navy blue school shirt, a cream/white hooded jumper, navy/dark shorts and black shoes. He was carrying a black backpack.

Anyone who may have seen Tye or has information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact Armidale police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
