Appeal to locate teenage boy missing from Balmain

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage boy missing from Sydney’s inner west.

Patrick Byers, age 13, was last seen on Donnelly Street, Balmain, about 1pm today (Tuesday 16 June 2026).

When he was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to Leichhardt Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and his family have concerns for his welfare as he lives with autism.

Patrick is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 165cm tall, of large build, with light brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a black collared t-shirt, black pants, and black and white sneakers.

Patrick is known to frequent the Sydney CBD area.
