A second round of applications are now open for community members to join a Project Reference Group (PRG) for proposed the Baw Baw Culture and Connection Precinct.

Two community members are being sought to join the PRG for the landmark project – a $30 million state of the art library and community precinct in the heart of Warragul.

Second round applications open today for a two-week period, closing on Thursday 12 May 2022.

Following the application period, submissions will be considered and two community members will be formally appointed to the PRG at a future Council meeting.

Community members who previously applied do not need to re-apply and will be considered in the final pool of candidates.

The PRG’s role is to provide local insights, contribute to discussions and provide recommendations to Council in the spirit of achieving the best project outcome. Council is seeking to include members of the community to ensure a fair and equitable representation of local voices.

In addition to the two community members being sought, the PRG includes Councillors, representatives of key community groups including the Baw Baw Arts Alliance and Baw Baw Shire Ratepayers and Citizen’s Association, along with other key Council and industry representatives who were all formally appointed at last night’s Council meeting.
