APRA releases superannuation statistics for March 2019

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) today released its Quarterly Superannuation Performance publication and the Quarterly MySuper Statistics report for the March 2019 quarter.

Key statistics for the superannuation industry as at 31 March 2019:

Over the March 2019 quarter, there was an increase of 5.3 per cent in total superannuation assets, comprising an increase of 5.7 per cent in APRA-regulated assets, an increase of 4.2 per cent in self-managed super fund assets, an increase of 5.0 per cent in exempt public sector superannuation schemes assets and an increase of 7.1 per cent in balance of life office statutory fund assets.
