Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) held its April Ordinary Meeting of Council on Monday 19 April 2021, 5:30pm at the DRC Council Chambers.

MAYORAL MINUTE – Change of Ordinary Council Meeting Date – May 2021

Council resolved to move the May Ordinary Council Meeting date from Monday 3May 2021 to Tuesday 4 May 2021.

MAYORAL MINUTE – Letter to the NSW Premier in relation to the Minister for Local Government.

Council noted a Mayoral minute regarding a letter that was sent to the Hon. Gladys Berejiklian MP that highlighted concerns about comments made in the media by the Hon. Shelley Hancock, Minister for Local Government relating to Dubbo Regional Council.

COUNCIL MEDIA AND COMMUNICATIONS VIDEO STREAMING (LIVE CROSS) RESOURCES

Council had before it a Notice of Motion dated 12 April 2021 from Councillor John Ryan regarding Council’s media and communications video streaming ‘live-cross capacity’. Council requested that the CEO provide a report to Councillors about local, state and federal MPs, utilising Council’s ‘live-cross camera’ and also include a breakdown of costs, resources required and availability within Council’s operational priorities for the provision of this resource and Council staff for any government or non-government organisation acting in the interest of the local community.

NOTICES OF RESCISSION: FIVE YEAR POST AMALGAMATION BOOK

Council had before it a Notice of Motion of Rescission dated 8 April 2021 from Councillor’s Stephen Lawrence, Vicki Etheridge and Jane Diffey. Council agreed to withdraw the five year post amalgamation publication, a newspaper style print project with a budget previously approved by Council of $50,000.
