Aquatics and leisure facilities reopening

In line with additional eased regional COVID-19 restrictions from 11.59 pm on Friday 17 September, indoor pools and gyms will reopen. Indoor stadiums will reopen at a later date, likely after school holidays.

Density restrictions mean that our indoor pools will operate with a density quotient of 20 patrons and our gyms with 10 members. There will be additional operating protocols for each centre to support these actions and keep our members safe, including QR code check-ins and sanitising procedures.

Indoor pools:

  • Bookings are not required; however, density quotients will apply
  • No spectators will be permitted, except for parents/guardians attending to supervise children under 16. Supervising individuals are included in the density quotient.
  • All programs are suspended until further notice, i.e. birthday parties, aqua exercise classes

Gyms and fitness centres:

  • Both Kyneton Toyota Sports and Aquatic Centre (KTSAC) and Gisborne Sports Centre will reopen
  • Bookings are not be required; however, members are requested to comply with density quotients of max 10 people on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • 24/7 operation will be activated, and members are requested to comply with the density quotients and not attend when 10 members are in the gym
  • Group fitness classes will recommence from Monday 20 September with a density quotient of 10 participants per class. Bookings apply.
  • Standard sanitising procedures will be in place
