Architect appointed for Roleystone Community College upgrade

  • With_Architecture Studio selected to lead design of $9.66 million project at Roleystone Community College
  • Upgrades include new sports hall and drama centre, early childhood classrooms and science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) laboratory
  • Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery today announced With_Architecture Studio has been appointed to design new facilities for Roleystone Community College.

The $9.66 million upgrade includes a new multi-purpose building, featuring a sports hall with change rooms, and a drama centre with performance space and two green rooms.

Two early childhood classrooms will also be built as part of the works, providing the school’s youngest students with modern facilities to learn in.

Refurbishment of the science and information technology block will round out the upgrades, which are a McGowan Government election commitment.

Planning for the project is underway, and works are anticipated to be completed in late 2024.

As stated by Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery:

“The new sports hall, drama centre, STEM lab and other modern facilities will provide students with fantastic opportunities to learn and develop their skills in the best possible environment.

“This is a key milestone for the upgrade to Roleystone Community College, which is one of the many exciting projects happening at our public schools across Western Australia.”

As stated by Darling Range MLA Hugh Jones:

“These new facilities will provide students at Roleystone Community College with purpose-built spaces for learning and activities.

“Students of all ages will benefit from the new classrooms and spaces, and I know many local families are looking forward to putting them to good use.”
