The Australian Medical Council (AMC) is an independent national standards body for medical education and training whose purpose is to ensure that standards of education, training and assessment of the medical profession promote and protect the health of the Australian community.

The AMC is seeking to appoint an appropriate person as a Council Member who has a background in and knowledge of consumer health issues.

The AMC acknowledges the importance of healthier outcomes for Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander people and Māori and privileging Indigenous voices and encourages applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and Māori.
