Armadale Burglary Arrests

Detectives from the Armadale Detectives – Rapid High-Harm Offender Response team were pleased to be able to return stolen property to a business in Armadale, after a burglary incident at the business between Friday 13 October 2023 and Monday 16 October 2023.
The business provides important assistance to hearing impaired clients. Staff returned to work after a weekend to find the business had been broken into and a number of computer related devices, needed to provide their services, had been stolen.
An investigation into the burglary was commenced, and detectives were able to quickly identify several juveniles believed to be involved. Search warrants were executed at several addresses, and all the stolen property was recovered.
As a result of the investigation, a 17-year-old female juvenile and two 14-year-old male juveniles were arrested. The 17-year-old female was charged with ‘Aggravated Burglary and Commit’ and ‘Stealing’, and was referred away from the children’s court system to a Juvenile Justice Team. The two 14-year-old males were issued Juvenile Cautions for the same two offences.
Detective Senior Sergeant Troy Morris, Officer in Charge of Armadale Detectives, said there were two important outcomes from the investigation.
“Being able to return all of the stolen property to the business so quickly was very rewarding for our team, especially knowing it will lessen the impact on their clients.
“The investigation has also given us the opportunity to engage with three young people who have started going down the wrong path, and hopefully through engagement with them and their families outside of the formal court process they will return to the right path and not get involved in further criminal activity. This is their one opportunity to learn from their mistakes, and we hope they seize it.”
