Armed man at Woorabinda

Police have charged a man following an alleged incident in Woorabinda yesterday.

Police will allege at about 11 am a 23-year-old Woorabinda man walked into the town centre, Munns Road, armed with knives and a loaded rifle and fired a shot into the air.

The 23-year-old man was charged with one count each of going armed so as to cause fear, discharge a weapon in public, dangerous conduct with a weapon, unlawful possession of a weapon, carry a weapon in public whilst loaded and two counts of possessing a knife in a public place.

He is due to attend the Rockhampton Magistrates Court later today.
