Police have charged a 28 year old Launceston man with Armed Robbery and Attempted Robbery after two separate incidents which occurred in Devonport on Friday the 3rd July 2020. Both incidents involved the targeted crime of snatching a handbag. The man has additionally been charged with evading police and unlicenced driving in the Launceston area. He has been detained in custody to appear in court later on the 5th July 2020.
A further man aged 23 years of Ulverstone, has been charged with Armed Robbery and Evading police. He was bailed to appear in the Devonport Magistrates Court on the 22nd September 2020.
