Armed robbery appeal at Ingham

Ingham Criminal Investigation Branch detectives are investigating the armed robbery of a business in Ingham yesterday, May 4.

At approximately 2am, a man approached the drive thru window of a Herbert Street fast food business on foot and produced an axe before making demands for money.

Two staff members, who were not physically injured, complied.

The man fled on foot down Herbert Street in the direction of Gedge Street with a sum of money.

Police conducted extensive patrols around the area, however, the man could not be located.

Investigators are appealing for public assistance to identify the man who is described as Caucasian in appearance with a solid build.

He was wearing a black face covering, a black and white ‘Jack Daniels’ branded cap, black jumper and blue full length cargo pants with tan work boots.

Anonymous reports can be made.

Investigators also appeal for businesses and motorists to check dashcam and CCTV and come forward with relevant vision between 1.30am to 2.30am.
