Armed robbery appeal in Clayfield, QLD

Police are seeking public assistance to identify a man involved in the armed robbery of a Clayfield convenience store last night (August 1).

Just before 9pm, the man entered the Sandgate Road store, produced a knife then demanded cash and cigarettes.

The male shop attendant complied, and the man left shortly after with a sum of money and cigarettes.

The man is described as Caucasian with average height and build. He was wearing a dark blue hooded jumper, a white cap, a black face covering over his nose and mouth, grey pants, dark coloured shoes and light-coloured gloves.

Anyone who may recognise the man in the CCTV or has further information or relevant dashcam vision, is urged to contact police.

The store attendant was not physically injured during the incident.
