Armed robbery with firearm, NSW

Police are investigating the attempted armed robbery of a fast food outlet at Edensor Park last night.

About 10.15pm (Sunday 5 May 2019), a man – armed with a firearm – entered a fast food outlet on Edensor Road and jumped the counter.

The armed man threatened two male employees, demanding money.

The employees were able to escape by leaving the store, and the armed man jumped back over the counter before fleeing empty handed.

The man is described as being about 175cm tall with a thin build and had his face covered. He was wearing a blue and white hooded jumper, black pants and black shoes

He was seen entering a white Toyota Hilux which drove south along Edensor Road.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene. Investigations are continuing.

No one was physically injured.
