Arrest – Aggravated robbery – Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 20-year-old man in relation to an aggravated robbery that occurred in 2017.

On December 12 at around 4:50am the woman was riding her bike along Espie Street when she stopped to give way to a passing train. It is alleged she was approached by the man who pushed her off her bike and demanded money.

The man stole a torch and mobile phone belonging to the woman, before allegedly pushing the woman to the ground fleeing on foot. The woman sustained minor injuries.

Forensic evidence obtained from the victim’s clothing, later identified the man as the offender.

Members of Strike Force WINX arrested and charged the man with one count each of Aggravated Robbery and Indecent Assault.
