As stated by Detective Inspector Bridget Doell, Whangārei CIB:
Police have arrested and charged a 42-year-old man with murder following a homicide investigation in Onerahi.
Enquiries have been underway since a body was located at a residential address on Thursday afternoon.
The man is due to appear in the Whangārei District Court this afternoon to face the charge.
Police continue to provide support to the victim’s family as they deal with their loss.
While matters are now before the Court, Police are still appealing for the public to assist us with our enquiries and we acknowledge those who have already come forward with information.
