Arrests over cocaine conspiracy, South Australia

Two men, one from South Australian and the other a Columbian National, have been arrested and charged with conspiring to import cocaine into Australia in 2014.

Detectives from Serious and Organised Crime Investigation Branch yesterday (7 February) arrested a 31-year-old man from Virginia and charged him with one count of conspiracy to import a large commercial quantity of a border controlled drug.

A 36-year-old man residing In Byron Bay, New South Wales was also arrested and was extradited to Adelaide to face the same charge.

They were expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrate Court today.
