Arson investigation at Maryborough

Police are appealing for public assistance as investigations continue into a suspicious housefire in Maryborough that occurred on Friday, July 14.

Emergency services were called to a property on Bowen Street shortly after 4.30pm, where the house was located well alight.

No one was injured as a result of the blaze.

Maryborough Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) detectives have released the below CCTV of a man they would like to speak to.

He was observed on foot near the intersection of March Street and Kent Street around the time of the incident and is described as Caucasian in appearance and was wearing dark shorts and a dark shirt.

Police are appealing to anyone with dashcam vision from March Street and Kent Street between 4.30pm and 5pm on Friday, to come forward.

Anyone with information about the man or the incident is urged to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
