A crime scene has been declared following an arson incident at a business in Newtown yesterday evening, 26 May.
Initial investigations indicate a female, who was staying at a business on Hursley Street, deliberately started a fire at approximately 8:10pm.
Emergency services arrived a short time later and the building was evacuated.
The female left the scene prior to police arrival and there were no reported injuries.
A crime scene was declared at 8.37pm.
Officers are appealing to anyone who may have relevant information or footage to contact police.
