Arson investigations at Gold Coast

Police are appealing for public assistance in relation to two ongoing arson investigations in Arundel last week.

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 3.30am on Saturday, June 24, a fire broke out at a unit along Distribution Court.

Emergency services arrived and contained the blaze. Luckily, no one was injured as a result.

Police have released vision of two vehicles; a white Hilux dual cab and a white Hyundai hatchback, that were observed in the area around the time of this incident and may be able to assist with investigations.

Police are investigating a second fire that occurred at a nearby unit at approximately 3.30am on Wednesday, June 28.

Emergency services attended and contained the blaze with the property sustaining significant damage. Luckily, no one was injured.

Investigations into both fires remain ongoing. Police are investigating possible links between the incidents due to their proximity.

Anyone with information about the vehicles, or either incident, is urged to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
