Ashurst appoints new counsel in Germany

Global law firm Ashurst has appointed Friederike Nolde, Torsten Limberg and Dr Valentin Pfisterer as counsel in its German offices, with effect from 1 November.

Friederike Nolde is a member of the Global Restructuring and Special Situations team based in Munich. She advises clients on civil disputes, in particular in connection with restructuring matters, both out-of-court and before the German courts and arbitral tribunals. She also has wide experience in advising distressed corporates on restructuring and administrators and insolvent corporates on structuring and conducting insolvency proceedings. Furthermore, Friederike Nolde advises clients in risk monitoring / risk management and has broad experience in conducting internal compliance investigations.

Torsten Limberg is a member of the Global Loans group in Frankfurt and specialises in national and international asset finance with a focus on project and real estate financing (including loans to be refinanced by German covered bonds (Pfandbrief), senior and mezzanine loans, real estate development finance and investment fund finance) as well as complex factoring transactions, in particular with cross-border elements. His client base comprises banks, insurance companies, financial service providers as well as investors on the lender and borrower side.

Dr Valentin Pfisterer, LL.M. (NYU) is member of the Corporate Transactions team in Frankfurt. He advises corporates, financial institutions and investors on M&A, joint ventures, equity capital markets (ECM) and on general corporate matters. He has particular experience in advising issuers and underwriters in connection with ECM deals and in advising investment banks as financial advisors on public and private M&A.

These appointments follow on from the recent arrival of Astrid Keinath who joined the Corporate Transactions team as counsel in September from Deutsche Bank, specialising in corporate law, in particular stock corporation law, domestic and cross border transformation law and corporate governance.
