Global law firm Ashurst Perkins Coie announces the appointment of Ben Plotnik as a Partner in its Corporate practice, based in Melbourne, as the firm continues to expand its global private capital team.
Ben is a senior funds practitioner with over 20 years’ experience advising private equity, venture capital, and alternative asset sponsors and institutional investors across Asia-Pacific and North America. His practice is focused on private capital fund work, acting for both sponsors on their private markets fund raising activities and institutional investors on their alternative asset investments. Ben has a proven track record in fund formation, sponsor-led transactions, investor-side mandates, and the structuring of complex fund vehicles, managed accounts and co-investment platforms. He joins Ashurst Perkins Coie from Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer, where he most recently held primary responsibility for the firm’s private capital funds practice in Australia.
