Assault and aggravated burglary in Seabrook

Hobsons Bay Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating an aggravated burglary and assault in Seabrook last month.

Two masked males attended a St Anthony Court address about 4.40am on 22 February.

The offenders attempted to break into the home when they were confronted by the male occupant.

One of the masked males struck the victim’s hand with what is believed to be a machete, causing a large laceration.

The offenders again tried to force their way into the house however a female occupant managed to hold the door closed and they ran off through parkland toward Skeleton Creek.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators have released CCTV and images of two males they believe can assist with their enquiries.
