Assistance sought to identify boy found in Taree

Police are appealing for public assistance to identify a boy found in Taree this morning.

Just before 11am (Saturday 15 May 2021), officers patrolling Commerce Street located the boy, believed to be aged between three and four.

Officers from Manning Great Lakes Police District attended and have commenced inquiries to identify him.

He is described as being about 90cm tall, a chubby build, with short curly black hair. He is wearing blue dinosaur pyjama pants with a ‘Sesame Street’ brand pyjama top and no shoes.

The boy is non-verbal and has not been able to identify himself to police or provide any clues about his identity or home address.
