ATA truck tech conference – sold out

Tickets for the 2019 Technology and Maintenance Conference (TMC) have sold out, and registrations are now closed.

TMC is the premier national gathering of trucking professionals, bringing together people from across the whole industry including apprentices, business owners, mechanics and fleet managers. The conference is run by the Australian Trucking Association (ATA) who together with its member associations collectively represent the 50,000 businesses and 200,000 people in the Australian trucking industry. Together, we are committed to safety, professionalism and viability.

“The ATA is thrilled to have had such an incredible volume of registrations, with professionals coming from all around the country to take part in TMC,” ATA CEO Ben Maguire said.

“Our industry is changing fast, and those who will flourish are those who embrace new ideas and real skills.

“TMC offers delegates the opportunity to learn industry best practice through an interactive program of technical sessions, compliance and information forums, job-specific presentations, and practical workshops,” he said.

The conference will have a dedicated focus on technology and the key issues of safety, productivity, environment, costs and careers.

“The 2019 TMC will be bigger and better than ever,” Mr Maguire said.

“As well as our interactive workshop demonstrations and informative technical sessions, the conference also features international keynote speakers, TMC Expo, Castrol virtual reality Pit Crew Challenge, and the opportunity for delegates to have their say in the Teletrac Navman Collaboration Zone.

“Additionally, delegates will have the opportunity to build their professional networks at our social events like the PACCAR Parts Fun Night, and celebrate excellence at the Castrol Vecton Awards Dinner,” he said.

Mr Maguire said he was especially excited to welcome more than 100 heavy vehicle apprentices to our delegate cohort.

“Apprentices are the workforce of our future and it is vital they are provided with an opportunity such as this to engage with industry, be inspired and further their careers,” he said.

The 2019 Technology and Maintenance Conference will be held from 14-16 October at Melbourne’s Kangan Insitute Automotive Centre of Excellence.
