Detectives from Logan Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a man following an alleged attempted bank robbery in Beenleigh last week.
Shortly before 4pm on July 17, it will be alleged the man entered a bank on City Road and approached a bank teller wearing a mask.
The man threatened the teller and demanded cash.
The security alarm was activated, and the man allegedly fled empty-handed on foot.
Officers arrested the man at a City Road, Beenleigh residence last night, July 24.
The 34-year-old Beenleigh man was charged with one count each of attempted robbery, stealing and fraud – dishonestly obtains property from another.
He is due before Beenleigh Magistrates Court today, July 25.
