Attempted murder arrest, South Australia

Western District detectives are investigating a serious collision that occurred late last week and are appealing to the public for information.

Just before 6.30pm on Friday 20 December, a silver Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback with registration WNG809 drove into Larsen Court at Ottoway.

A disturbance occurred in the rear carpark of the property between a woman and the two men who arrived at the property in the silver Mirage. As the vehicle left the address it collided into the woman. Police will allege the vehicle continued driving with the woman holding onto the front bonnet of the car for some time.

The vehicle drove onto Larsen Court, Cleveland Terrace, Edward Street, Fairlie Street, May Terrace and Grand Junction Road. The woman fell off the vehicle on Grand Junction Road approximately 10 metres from Rosewater Terrace. She was conveyed by SAAS to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment. She was transferred to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

Following an investigation, a 27-year-old man from Angle Park was arrested on 21 December for attempted murder. He is expected to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au
