Attempted murder charges in Zillmere, QLD

Two men have been charged with attempted murder in relation to an alleged shooting incident in Zillmere in December last year.

It will be alleged that on December 28, 2021 at approximately 5pm shots were fired into a vehicle containing two occupants on Norbiton Street, from another vehicle.

No one was physically injured.

Operation Tango Cadian was established and following extensive investigations, two men have been arrested.

North Brisbane detectives attended a Deagon address on Wednesday (May 4), where a 31-year-old Deagon man was taken into custody.

He has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, three counts of possess firearm and one count each of authority to possess explosives, evade police and possess drug utensils.

Yesterday (Thursday May 5) a 45-year-old Brighton man was located outside a Sandgate café and taken into custody.

During his arrest, police will allege a quantity of drugs was located.

He has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, four counts of supply dangerous drug, two counts of possess firearm and one count each of possess dangerous drugs, authority required to possess explosives and possess drug utensils.

Both men are expected to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
