Attempted murder charges, South Brisbane

A man has been charged with the attempted murder of two others after allegedly stabbing them at Dutton Park yesterday.

Around 4.30pm, the 45-year-old man approached a 49-year-old man within a unit block on Gladstone Road. During the altercation, the 45-year-old man allegedly produced a knife and stabbed the man.

The victim chased the man away when a 66-year-old man observed the disturbance and attempted to intervene.

The 45-year-old man allegedly stabbed him several times in the chest, abdomen and head before returning to his residence.

The two victims were transported to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

A 45-year-old Dutton Park man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count each of possessing dangerous drugs and utensils.

He has been denied police bail and will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today, December 1.
