Visitors from across the country will descend uponAlice Springs today as part of this years Redback Mountain Biking Stage Race untilSunday 25 August.
The 12th Redback Stage Race showcases the incrediblemountain biking in Australias Red Centre to national and internationalvisitors, as riders navigate an extensive network of hand-made, single-tracksaround Alice Springs.
As part of TurbochargingTourism, the Territory Labor Government has invested $12 million on openingup new and developing existing adventure cycling tracks in the Red Centre,reinforcing its global mountain-biking reputation.
This includes the RedCentre Adventure Ride, which will see over 200km of tracks link AliceSprings Desert Park to Glen Helen in Tjoritja/West MacDonnell National Park andis due for completion in 2020.
