At an AusIMM International Women’s Day event in Melbourne, Minister for Resources Jaala Pulford described how removing barriers to participation and boosting career paths for women can only lead to a stronger sector.
Minister Pulford spoke about how the Women on Boards scholarship program, delivered in collaboration with the AusIMM, promoted gender equality by growing the pool of candidates with relevant skills within the sector.
The AusIMM’s Women in Mining Survey results were released at the event. The survey offers critical insights into the experiences, perspectives and priorities of women working in the sector, which will be used to improve gender diversity and inclusion through the sector.
