Australia’s Largest Neurodiverse Hiring Event

WithYouWithMe

1 in 10 Australians have Dyslexia, 1 in 20 have ADHD and over 40% of those on the Autism spectrum are unemployed.

On Monday 1st of November, WithYouWithMe is hosting Australia’s Largest Neurodiverse Hiring event.

Speakers from across Australia have been invited to represent the neurodiverse community. The event boasts an impressive line-up, including, IBM, the International business machine giant.

The event will showcase the potential of the Neurodiverse community and encourage businesses to integrate Neurodiversity into their team structures.

“Screening neurodiverse candidates by using outdated hiring practices isn’t just a loss for the community, but an impractical business model” stated Tom Moore, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of WithYouWithMe. “Those with ADHD and Dyslexia excel in cyber environments. We know those who identify as neurodiverse are a powerhouse in the office, we have seen it first-hand.”

This event comes on the cusp of Accenture and EY actively pushing for neurodiversity in the workplace.

The CEO has announced that WithYouWithMe fully intends to join businesses in recruiting at the event, following their ever-growing success in neurodiverse hiring.

The WithYouWithMe Neurodiverse project lead, Ben Moylan, stated “Neurodiverse people don’t get the opportunities they need or deserve. Neurodiverse candidates are an untapped resource that we have found to be incredibly valuable to a successful workplace”.

WithYouWithMe is leading the charge to neurodiverse inclusion, with 1/4th of their employees identifying as Neurodiverse.

The event is expected to host 1000 Australians, from business owners and the neurodiverse through to carers and the general public.

WithYouWithMe has a history of hosting successful online events, including hackathons, training and information sessions.
