Australia’s new Nature Positive laws: public webinars

Dept of Climate Change, Energy, Environment & Water

We are working to fix Australia’s environmental laws so they better protect the environment and give faster, clearer decisions for business.

Reforming our environmental law is complex. We started this process with the Nature Positive Plan in December 2022.

As part of our consultation series, we will hold 2 public webinars in November 2023. The webinars will cover the same content and are held online on different days and times. This allows for participation from a broad range of the public across multiple time zones and locations. Save the date to hear about the detail of the new environmental laws.

The department will explain how the proposed changes are designed to work and how they compare to existing laws. This will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
