Australian College of Nursing celebrates nurses recognised in Queen’s Birthday Honours

The Australian College of Nursing (ACN) welcomes the recognition of the nursing profession’s contribution to the community in the 2021’s Queen’s Birthday Honours List.

These achievements again highlight the pivotal role nurses and health professionals play in supporting Australians, as we have seen throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Nurses are critical to our health care system,” ACN Chief Executive Officer, Adjunct Professor Kylie Ward FACN said.

“While nurses are often humble about their contribution, this recognition of their efforts to support our community on the national stage is well-deserved and strongly appreciated by the profession. The recipients have dedicated their lives to improving patient care, health and educations systems and enhanced the body of knowledge through academia and research”.

“We are especially proud of our long time Australian College of Nursing Fellows and Members who have received this honour. You are excellent examples of the contribution’s nurses make to support Australians when they are at their most vulnerable”.

“Congratulations to each of the nurses individually honoured today and to all recipients for your contribution in your fields of speciality”.
