Australian Hockey Championships heading to Territory

Territory hockey fans and sports lovers will have front row seats to more high quality sporting action next year, with the Top End to host the 2023 Hockey Australia U15 Championships.

It is the first time the Territory will have hosted a national Hockey Championships since the U18s in 2003.

The Hockey Australia U15 Championships will run from 15-21 April 2023 at the MWT Hockey Centre, drawing the best young hockey talent from around Australia to the Top End, with teams from every jurisdiction expected to take part. Every match will also be livestreamed on LIVEHockey here.

Hockey is popular in the Territory, with 11 clubs and 1,300 registered members. The sport has a long history in the Territory, with the first hockey game taking place in Darwin in 1940.
