Australian Institute of Management Launches Digital Marketing Training Programs

The Australian Institute of Management (AIM) is launching a new digital marketing training program in tandem with specialist agency, Indago Digital, to enable executives to become savvy in the deployment of SEO, content marketing and web analytics.

AIM Group CEO, Ben Foote, said the one-day courses were aimed at providing practical skills needed to ensure executives could learn the fundamental practices of digital marketing.

“There is an urgent need for managers to understand how digital marketing can drive growth for businesses in a world where consumer spend is now largely driven by the success of a brand online,” Foote said. He pointed to research from performance marketing firm, Criteo, which said that by 2022, 87% of all marketing budgets would be digital.

The training program includes an SEO and Content Marketing Program, a Digital Marketing for Non-Marketers course, and a Google Analytics workshop. Courses run in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide through the year. Sydney-based Indago Digital provides SEO, SEM and digital analytics services to companies from a mix of industries in Australia and was named the fastest growing digital marketing agency in the Australian Financial Review’s Fast 100 Companies in 2018.

“We are committed to enhancing the digital marketing skills base in Australia, and our partnership with AIM provides real world lessons for managers seeking to understand the key elements required to deliver effective digital campaigns,” said Indago Digital Managing Director, Gary Nissim.

The Digital Marketing for Non-Marketers course will enable managers to understand the core components of Digital Marketing, including search, digital display, email marketing, social media and content marketing. Attendees will also be provided with the skills to confidently interpret digital metrics and learn how digital channels can be adopted across other areas of business, including HR, Sales, Customer Service, IT and Finance.

The SEO and Content Marketing workshop focuses on how to drive organic traffic and conversions, and the Google Analytics course delivers a deep understanding in building dashboards and identifying key data trends within your business.

Sarah Ong, eCommerce executive at The Body Shop, said she had undertaken the SEO and Content Marketing Workshop previously and it provided valuable insight into the digital marketing industry.

“The course was insightful and informative, and Gary encouraged class participation and questions. He showed a genuine interest in our businesses and how he could equip us with the skills to drive results for SEO and improve overall business success.”
