Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) is aware of a bushfire burning in the Barakula State Forest. Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) are on scene and the fire is currently contained. Crews will continue to monitor the area over the coming days. Smoke may affect nearby residents. If affected, residents are advised to close windows and doors and keep your medications close by. Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions. If you are concerned your property is under threat, call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
