Bass in grass 2021 – Wrap up

Northern Territory police have concluded their BASSINTHEGRASS 2021 operations with concert goers at Darwin’s biggest festival being very well behaved.

There was only a very small number of people who came to the attention of police and event security out of a crowd of 14,000 revellers, including:

• 3 x notices to appear – (2 x drugs, 1 x aggravated assault)

• 1 x Arrest for behavioural offences (133AB)

• 10 x evictions by police

• 8 x evictions by event security

Superintendent Daniel Shean said, “Having regard to the size of the crowd commensurate with the number of persons evicted and only one arrest for behavioural offences and one issue of a Notice To Appear for Aggravated Assault, the behaviour of the crowd at BASSINTHEGRASS 2021 was excellent.

“NT Police would like to thank all those who attended, for enjoying the festival safely, and we look forward to next year.”
