Major Crash officers are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Bateman about 8:55am this morning, 10 February 2020.
Three vehicles were travelling north on the Kwinana Freeway in the far right lane when the driver of a blue Toyota Hilux struck the rear of a white Mitsubishi Outlander, causing the Outlander to hit the vehicle in front, a white Toyota Tarago.
The sole occupant of the Mitsubishi, a woman in her 40s received critical injuries in the crash and was conveyed by ambulance to Fiona Stanley Hospital where she died a short time later.
The other drivers and occupants involved in the crash were not injured.
Major Crash investigators would like to speak to anyone who saw the crash, or the blue Toyota Hilux, white Mitsubishi Outlander or white Toyota Tarago travelling on the freeway prior to the crash.
