Bells Beach toilet block

The toilet block at Bells Beach Surfing Recreation Reserve is temporarily closed due to a pump failure and subsequent blockage.

Investigations are underway to identify and fix the issue, which has had no impact on the surrounding marine environment.

Three portable toilets – including one for people with a disability – have been installed adjacent to the toilet block.

“We’re sorry if this has caused any inconvenience. We’re working to get the toilet block open again as soon as possible,” said Chris Pike, General Manager Culture and Community.

“If anyone has any concerns, please give us a call on our general number 5261 0600.”

Works that are carried out will align with the Bells Beach Surfing Recreation Reserve Coastal Management Plan vision – to respect and protect the natural environment, indigenous heritage and surfing culture of Bells Beach.
