Kerbside bin collections in City of Playford are expected to change for around 5,000 residents, with the changes attributed to residential growth.

Kerbside bin collections in City of Playford are expected to change for around 5,000 residents, with the changes attributed to residential growth.

From this Wednesday, the kerbside collection day will change for some residents in the following suburbs:

  • Davoren Park
  • Elizabeth South
  • Elizabeth Vale
  • Munno Para
  • Smithfield
  • Smithfield Plains

The Northern Adelaide Waste Management Authority (NAWMA) has notified affected residents directly via a letterbox flyer. If residents have received this flyer, their collection day is changing.

People can check if their collection day has changed here.

Mayor Glenn Docherty said Council will mirror the changes in the My Playford App.

“Work is being done to ensure minimal disruption during the switch and affected households are being asked to direct all enquiries to NAWMA,” said Mayor Docherty.

“Residents will continue to experience the same great service for their waste collection, with the only alteration being the adjustment of the collection day for bins.

“These changes are merely symptoms of the rapid growth our city is experiencing. Seven people move into Playford every day, making us one of the fastest growing cities in the state.

“With the increase in population comes the necessity to scale up the capacity of our services, this includes areas like waste collection.”

Affected households can direct all bin collection enquiries to NAWMA by calling 8259 2100.
