Police are investigating the circumstances following the death of a person in a house fire in Campbellfield on Thursday evening.
Emergency services attended the Sydney Road house after reports of smoke emanating from the house about 7.50pm on 26 May.
Once the fire was extinguished, a search was conducted and the body of a yet to be identified person was located.
A crime scene has been established and members from the Arson and Explosives Squad as well as fire investigators will attend the scene.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing.
