Body of missing man located at Port Macquarie 19 January

A body has been located during the search for a man missing from Port Macquarie.

The 54-year-old man was last seen at a home on Kalinda Drive, about 5.15am on Tuesday (16 January 2024).

As part of inquiries, officers attached to Manning/Great Lakes Police District, with the assistance of specialist NSW Police resources, SES, VRA, RFS and NSW Ambulance conducted a search of Ellenborough Falls at Elands, about 85km south-west of Port Macquarie from Wednesday (17 January 2024).

During the multi-agency search, the body of a man was found in the water at Ellenborough Falls, about 10.30am on Friday (19 January 2024).

While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the missing 54-year-old man.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident has commenced.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
