Boeing [NYSE: BA] has appointed Celso Ferrer as president of Boeing Latin America and the Caribbean, effective September 4, 2026. In this role, he will be responsible for strengthening Boeing’s operations, strategy, and presence across the region, as well as supporting the company’s growth opportunities throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
“Celso brings exceptional experience, leadership skills and expertise to this role,” said Dr. Brendan Nelson AO, president of Boeing Global. “With more than 20 years of experience in the aviation industry, Celso is the right person to address the opportunities and challenges this dynamic and important region presents for Boeing.”
Prior to joining Boeing, Ferrer served for four years as Chief Executive Officer of GOL Linhas Aéreas, airline in which he started his career as an intern. Before becoming CEO, he served as Chief Operating Officer, leading the Operations, Operational Safety, Airports, Planning, Network, Supply Chain, and Fleet areas. He previously served as Vice President of Planning for five years, having an extensive experience in Pricing and Alliances. He is also an experienced, currently certified airline pilot and was part of GOL’s flight crew on the Boeing 737 fleet.

Ferrer holds a degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo (USP), a degree in International Relations from PUC-SP, and an Executive MBA from INSEAD in France.
