Boost for Stolen Generations history in schools

Primary and secondary school teachers will be supported to educate students about the Stolen Generations in a safe and age appropriate way, through activities mapped to the Australian Curriculum.

The Stolen Generations Resource Kit for Teachers and Students will be officially launched at Trangie Central School near Dubbo in regional NSW tomorrow, and distributed to schools around the country.

The new resources were developed by The Healing Foundation in consultation with Stolen Generations members, Indigenous and non-Indigenous teachers, parents, and curriculum writers.

To mark the launch, The Healing Foundation will also be announcing funding for schools to hold events related to the new resources in the led up to National Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week 2019.
