Booze bandit in Forest Hill and Vermont South

Forest Hill police are yet to identify one of two men for alleged thefts of alcohol from liquor stores in Forest Hill and Vermont South last month.

The first incident occurred at a bottle shop in Brentford Square in Forest Hill on Saturday 15 June just before midday.

Investigators have been told that the men entered the store and selected four slabs of bourbon, valued at $356, before walking out without paying.

A short time later, at 12.40pm, the men struck a second time at a bottle shop in a Vermont South shopping centre.

On this occasion the men selected five bottles of spirits, valued at $258, and once again left without paying.

Police have released an image of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
