Bordertown COVID-19 incident, South Australia

A truck driver has self-quarantined after learning he may have come into contact with two people in New South Wales who tested positive to COVID-19.

Just before 9pm on Friday 10 July police were called to a Bordertown hotel after information was received that a truck driver at that location had recently returned from NSW and had some remote contact with confirmed COVID-19 cases while interstate.

The truck driver has gone into self-quarantine at his Bordertown home. The man has undertaken a COVID19 test. The results have come back negative.

The hotel was closed by police.

There were other people at the hotel during that time and we ask those people to monitor their own personal health and if they do develop flu like symptoms to self-quarantine and seek a COVID19 test as soon as possible.
