Borland Leckie Park playspace now open

Griffith’s newest playground, Borland Leckie Park is now open to the public.

The inclusive playspace, located in Erskine Road, West Griffith, includes play equipment, seating, mature trees, shrubs, sitting wood, sandstone logs and an accessible footpath.

The playground design was guided by input received from the community following public consultation.

The construction of Borland Leckie Park was made possible by a $95,460 grant from the NSW Government’s Infrastructure Grants Program and approximately $100k from Griffith City Council.

Griffith Mayor, Councillor Doug Curran is delighted to see the transformation of this previously overlooked area into a vibrant hub for families.

“Borland Leckie Park reflects our commitment to providing quality spaces for West Griffith residents to enjoy,” said Councillor Curran.

“The Park addresses a need for engaging places in the area and it’s great to see the end result.”
