Boroondara Riverfest is postponed
Due to the extreme wet weather forecast for Friday 2 October, we’re sad to advise this outdoor community event at Willsmere Billabong won’t be proceeding.
We don’t want everyone to miss out on all the fun, interactive activities we had planned so we’re postponing the event to Friday 27 November. We’ll share details of new event details and activities you can book in the coming weeks.
What is Riverfest?
Birrarung Riverfest is a 3-week celebration of our beautiful Birrarung/Yarra River, presented by the Yarra Riverkeepers Association. This year, we’re joining the celebration to host an afternoon-to-evening of family-friendly activities and guided walks.
About Willsmere Billabong
Willsmere Park in Kew East is one of our most significant natural heritage sites. The Willsmere Billabong is one of the last remaining billabongs in the lower reaches of the Yarra River.
