Break and enter offences, Gold Coast and South Brisbane Districts

Police are appealing to the public for information as part of investigations into a series of break and enters at three hobby shops across the Gold Coast and South Brisbane districts in the early hours of this morning, 18 August.

Around 1.40am, police were called in relation to a break and enter at a collectables store on Olsen Avenue at Southport.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a group of people wearing balaclavas forced entry to the business and stole a safe containing valuable trading-cards, before fleeing in a white hatchback with no registration plates.

Around 2.35am, police were called to a collectables store on John Lund Drive at Hope Island where a group of people had forced entry and stole a safe again containing valuable trading cards, before fleeing.

Around 3.30am, a group of people wearing balaclavas attended a collectables store on Jackson Road at Sunnybank in a white hatchback and forced entry to the business.

The group stole several replica firearms before fleeing in a white hatchback.

Police are now appealing to anyone with information, dash-camera or phone footage in relation to any of these offences, to come forward.
